POLA HS will be presenting seventeen speakers to encourage students to plan for post high school education, employment exploration and career development.
POLA HS Career Day Speakers will include: members of the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Coast Guard, Information Technology professionals and topics concerning the Environment, Logistics, Marine Biology, Engineering, Terminal Operations, Education, as well as the business of Railroads, Trucking and Towing.
POLA HS Career Day Seminars will begin at 8am on Friday, February 22nd and continue throughout the school day. Students will have the opportunity to increase their awareness of the many maritime and international trade related occupations and career opportunities.
The Port of Los Angeles High School is a California charter school and admission is open to any student in California. As a public school, no tuition is charged and the school does not discriminate based on ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, religious or political beliefs.
